Energy medicine explained

“It’s like she got in the plane and took off without me!” Tracy explained the feeling of being lost on one end of a conversation, words flying everywhere. Her friend was talking, super excited, but she totally left Tracy behind. New words, unfamiliar concepts, and too much all at once.
Have you experienced that? I certainly have. Sometimes I’m the one left behind in the conversation, trying to figure out all the parts and storylines. When it comes to talking about what I do, the roles reverse, and it’s me who’s jetted off, stranding the other person on runway with no clue as to what I’m talking about.
It’s a workplace hazard. I keep learning, getting feedback, and trying again.
Come along with me. There’s something I want you to know.
Here’s what I know to be true, from my heart: Your body wants to heal. Ask questions, listen, and take action.
There’s lots of ways to ask questions, different approaches to listening, and a wide variety of actions. Since you’re a health seeker, you’ve tried a bunch of them.
Most of my methods fit inside a big category called energy medicine.
Energy medicine means something that changes the energy in your body so that you feel better. It’s really that simple. Some methods might seem complicated, but at a foundational level, they are all just changing your energy in some way so that you feel better.
I’m attuned to energy. I feel it in my body, easily. I sense it in others, in places, inside, outside, everywhere.
I’ve been drawn to study and practice ways of moving energy in my body to feel better, and help others feel better too.
Here are a few examples of energy medicine methods that I use:
- Homeopathy (German method of natural healing)
- Reiki (Japanese therapeutic touch)
- Ho'oponopono (Hawaiian practice of forgiveness)
- Meridian tracing (based on traditional Chinese medicine)
- Yoga (physical energy movement)
- Tuning forks (clearing energy with sound)
- Bioenergetics (combination of multiple energy methods with technology)
Sound baths, acupuncture, and qi gong are also energy medicine, and wonderful ways to feel better!
Does energy medicine seem a bit more tangible? Have you experienced energy medicine? Reply and let me know!
I’m so happy to have you on this journey with me, and I’m not going to leave you behind.
